This slaves face isn't much use to Norah and Austin except as a place for their feet. Or in this case, a place for their feet to be cleaned. All that barefoot walking outdoors sure does a number on the bottoms of their feet, but his slave mouth will make short work of all that dirt. That's why they left him near the door when they left, to have his mouth ready to serve immediately upon their return.
